Laser Induced Graphene – Hydrogen Technologies – LIGHT
The efficient generation of hydrogen by CW infrared laser (980 nm) laser irradiation of graphene in selected fuels. Graphene as a nanocatalyst has many advantages compared to standard electrolysis. It was observed a giant emission effect of H2 from laser induced ionization of graphene due to splitting reactions in the fuel.
1. Efficient Generation of Hydrogen by laser irradiation of graphene in alcohol, water and their vapors environment in closed low pressure photoreactors.
Results: scalable broadband photocatalytic reactor (UV-VIS-IR) based on graphene nano-composites for hydrogen production in renewable energy applications.
2. Simultaneous laser-driven hydrogen generation from selected fuels assisted by a RF electric field
Results: optimizing of the hybrid photocatalytic RF hydrogen generation process – LIGHT Boosted Electrolysis.
